S&P Global Platts will change the assessment timestamp of its LNG Gulf Coast Marker (GCM) to 4:30 pm London time from May 16, 2020.
The Platts GCM™ assessment is currently published each US business day and reflects market values prevailing at the close of US markets, at 1:30 pm Houston time.
This decision follows on from a proposal published February 28 and available here: www.spglobal.com
This will align the Platts GCM™ assessment with the close of European markets, which have become an increasingly significant outlet for US-loading LNG spot cargoes. As a component of this change, Platts will also move the assessment publishing schedule to follow Platts UK publishing calendar.
Please submit questions and feedback to LNGeditorialteam@spglobal.com and pricegroup@spglobal.com.
