Platts to change to LatAm oilseed and grains publication schedule May 1

S&P Global Platts has decided to change the publication schedule for its Latin America oilseed and grain assessments to no longer reflect US national holidays, to better reflect trading patterns in the Brazilian and Argentinian spot markets.

This change will now be effective May 1, 2020.

Platts had previously proposed to make this change April 16, in a subscriber note published February 28: www.spglobal.com

The Latin America oilseed and grain assessments are assessed out of the Platts office in São Paolo. Under the change, Platts will continue to reflect Brazil's national holidays and São Paolo city holidays for its Brazil oilseed and grain assessments; and Brazil and Argentina national holidays and São Paolo city holidays for its Argentina oilseed and grain assessments.

There will be no change to the publication schedule for Brazil ethanol and sugar assessments.

The current Platts publication schedule can be found at: www.spglobal.com
