Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to discontinue publishing the following metallurgical coke price assessments: 64/62 CSR FOB North China, 64/62 CSR CFR India and 66/65 CSR CFR India, effective July 1.
Platts has observed limited spot trade data specific to these coke qualities and incoterms over a four-year period. Industry feedback has indicated a preference for referencing Met Coke 65/63 CSR price assessments, which Platts publishes on FOB China, CFR India and FOB Indonesia bases, given higher spot market liquidity.
The proposed discontinuation would affect the following assessments and symbols:

The price assessments are published in Platts SBB Steel Markets Daily, Coal Trader International, in Platts Steel Alert on page 0205, and in the Platts price database under the symbols listed above.
