Platts proposes to amend cargo sizes for North Sea crude assessments

In line with evolving shipping trends in the region, and loading programs in 2022 S&P Global Commodity Insights proposes to amend the cargo size on its Johan Sverdrup, Gullfaks, Statfjord, Alvheim and Asgard assessments, effective from May 2023 cargoes.

Platts clarifies the volume min/max ranges for North Sea grades are as follows

Platts also wishes to clarify that it is currently publishing bids manually for North Sea crudes in the MOC process on a fixed volume basis within the min/max range above. These may be normalized to the current assessment size.

Effective February 13, participants in the MOC process are able to submit bids or offers stated for publication directly through the eWindow communication tool, or do so through an editor who would then publish the bids and offers using the software.
