Platts proposes to update the factor to convert LNG to $/GJ in LNG bunker assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodities Insights, proposes to update the calculations of LNG prices per energy content to reflect the Platts standard conversion rates, effective Jan.23, 2023.

These price series, expressed in $/GJ, would be calculated by dividing the base $/MMBtu LNG prices into respective regions by 1.055.

The conversion factor would be aligned with the Platts base rates guide available at https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/PlattsContent/_assets/_files/en/conversiontables/conversion_factors_jul_2019.pdf
