Cargoes are shipped from PFLNG and Bintulu
Malaysia's LNG supply has been stable
Malaysia's state-owned Petronas offered up to five spot LNG cargoes for November and December delivery in the week of Oct. 13-17, Asian LNG traders said on Oct. 17.
The company was not immediately available for comment on the matter.
Petronas issued multiple sell tenders for LNG cargoes loading from its Bintulu LNG complex and the PFLNG Dua floating facility in the week ending Oct. 17, with the total volume potentially reaching up to five cargoes, according to several market sources.
Market sources said that the cargoes, across three tenders, were issued for the November and December delivery windows. The first tender, which closed on Oct. 15, was awarded for early- and mid-December deliveries. A second tender was also awarded for the first half of December, while a final tender offering two November delivery cargoes is expected to close on Oct. 17.
The early December cargoes were awarded at small discounts to the JKM, while the mid-December cargo was awarded at parity, according to market sources.
From January to September this year, Petronas has sold 11 spot cargoes, with all of the cargoes sold in the first half of this year, according to Asian LNG traders.
