Who We Serve
S&P Global Energy Horizons is delighted to invite you to a breakfast session focused on how climate risk is being translated into measurable financial and strategic impact across organisations operating in South Africa.
Climate risk integration is increasingly embedded in South Africa’s regulatory and policy landscape. The South African Reserve Bank has formally recognised climate change as a financial stability risk, and the Prudential Authority expects banks and insurers to reflect climate-related risks within governance and risk management frameworks. In parallel, the National Treasury has issued technical guidance supporting climate-related disclosure aligned with international standards. Investor expectations are also evolving under the global baseline standards of the International Sustainability Standards Board, including IFRS S1 and IFRS S2, which require organisations to disclose climate-related financial risks and opportunities in a financially material and decision-useful manner.
As supervisory expectations and disclosure requirements evolve, climate risk is increasingly integrated into capital allocation, operational planning, and long-term strategy.
Join us for a focused and practical discussion on how climate data, financed emissions measurement, and scenario analysis can strengthen financial resilience, improve transparency, and support informed decision-making across sectors.
