GDP has long been a workhorse in the economics toolkit however, one key omission is that GDP fails to capture non-market outcomes, such as the degradation of the environment or the health of our countries and communities.
During this webinar, we will discuss:
- Avenues to augment or complement GDP to better reflect the impact of economic activity on the environment and people, and vice versa.
- Alternative indicators that could provide a clearer picture of economic growth benefits and impacts
- How to better measure the interaction of the physical capital stock and the natural capital stock over time.
