Watch: 2019 Brent crude oil volatility: April outlook

Vito Turitto, S&P Global Platts quantitative analyst: Asian demand for North Sea grades was muted in the first half of March, but picked up mid-month keeping dated Brent prices up despite a number of bearish factors. Market participants remain focused on geopolitical risk factors including the US-China trade war and sanctions on Venezuela. Volatility has recently been low, but is likely to pick up in the coming weeks.
