Overview

S&P Global Energy has responded to the changing landscape of the North American natural gas market by adding 8 Mexico locations as part of its existing and extensive forward curve coverage. In addition to the current 100+ natural gas forward curves offered by S&P Global Energy, the following Mexico locations have been added: Los Ramones – Monterrey, Puente Moreno, Merida, Tula, Rosarito, El Encino, Guadalajara, and Topolobampo. The Mexico forward curves are now offered as a standalone region.

Available in Americas Gas & Power Risk Market Data service.

Key Benefits

Independent assessments of Mexican monthly forward natural gas prices

Forward curves reflect ICE Market Data (where available) and are subject to careful review

Platts tracks values and interrelationships over the whole course of the day

Information is cross-checked to ensure data integrity

Illiquid markets may be estimated as spreads relative to active liquid market.

Platts gives the highest priority to available market data but allows for the use of model data to fill out curves where market data provide no indications

Relevant market information is considered even in the development of prices for hubs where no ICE Market Data is available
