Project to boost efficiency, reduce costs and emissions
Saudi Arabia's Southern Province Cement Company announced in a statement on their website that its new production line project at the Jazan Cement Plant has reached an advanced stage, with 98% completion as of Dec. 31, 2025.
The company stated that most construction work has been completed, and trial operations have commenced for several production units, including the successful production of the first test batch of clinker.
The project comprises a clinker production line with a daily capacity of 5,000 mt and a cement grinding line with a daily capacity of 10,000 mt. Additionally, infrastructure has been prepared to support a future clinker line of another 5,000 mt per day, aiming to enhance operational flexibility and support future expansion.
Southern Province Cement emphasized the strategic impact of the project, noting improvements in operational efficiency, modernization of production assets with advanced technologies, reduced production costs, and lower carbon emissions. These measures are expected to support sustainable operations and boost the company's competitiveness.
According to the company, the next phase will focus on final testing, paving the way for the project's full commercial launch in 2026.
