John Barsby

John has more than 15 years of experience in the petrochemical industry primarily in the engineering and high performance polymers sector, covering both technical and commercial aspects of the industry. Previously, John worked for Bayer, where he was responsible for business development and marketing, including marketing strategies, pricing studies, key OEM development, and application and project developments for engineering polymers business in the Middle East and Europe. He started with Bayer in the UK providing technical and development support to their automotive business. He then looked after automotive key accounts for both technical and commercial projects, advising on material selection and business planning. Prior to this, he worked in the high performance polymer compounding sector where he was responsible for new application and strategy development.
John graduated from the University of Nottingham, UK, with a Higher Diploma in Polymer Engineering and an MBA.
