SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to consider PIS/Cofins tax in FOB Brazil ethanol

In line with current market expectation, S&P Global Platts will take into account the PIS and Cofins tax from January 3, 2017. For the FOB Santos anhydrous and hydrous Brazil ethanol assessments, if no FOB data is heard in the market, the equivalent FOB cost will be calculated from the anhydrous and hydrous ex-mill Ribeirao price assessments and adjusted for freight, terminal costs and taxes.

Platts welcomes all feedback and questions. Please send all questions and feedback to america_ags@spglobal.com with CC to pricemethodology@spglobal.com.
