Platts to increase the frequency of Ammonia Energy Substitution Indices

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has decided, following a proposal period, to increase the frequency of its Ammonia Energy Substitution Indices (AESI) assessments effective Jan. 22, 2024.

Platts will increase the frequency of the NW Europe and Japan AESI calculated assessments from weekly to daily in response to increasing interest in ammonia as a fuel from a number of sectors, including power generation.

The assessments currently only appear in the AESI Update PDF. However, from Jan. 15, 2024, the assessments (AESIA00 and AESIB00) will be published Monday-Friday on Platts Connect, and from Jan. 29, 2024, the assessments will also feature in Platts Fertecon Daily.
