S&P Global Platts will change the frequencies of certain US and Latin American steel assessments.
Platts will increase the frequency of Brazilian domestic hot-dipped galvanized and cold-rolled coil assessments from monthly to weekly.
Platts will also reduce the frequency of its US domestic and import rebar steel assessments from daily to weekly.
Platts is making the changes as a result of changing market dynamics for the respective products.
Details of the assessments set for the frequency increases are as follows:
HDG Brazil Dom Prod Ex-Works Excl Taxes, BRL/ton - code SB01117 CRC Brazil Dom Prod Ex-Works Excl Taxes, BRL/ton - code SB01080
Alongside changes to the frequency of its US rebar assessments, Platts will also move the day for the rebar/ex-mill US Midwest assessment to Friday from Monday for closer alignment with other weekly US rebar assessments.

Rebar / US domestic EXW US Southeast, $/st - code STCBC00 Rebar / DDP Houston, $/st - code STCBG00 Rebar / N. America domestic Ex-mill US Midwest, $/st - code SB01202
