S&P Global Platts has launched a new weekly freight assessment for liquid petrochemical products on the Middle East to East China route for cargo sizes of 5,000 mt to 7,000 mt, effective December 13, 2019.
The assessment, which is in US dollars/mt, is for liquid petrochemicals such as benzene, toluene, xylenes, methanol, MTBE, styrene monomer and MEG from the Middle East ports of Yanbu, Rabigh, Kuwait, Al-Jubail, Sohar, Bandar Imam Khomeini and Assaluyeh, going to East China ports Zhangjiagang, Shanghai, Jiangyin, Nantong, Ningbo, Nanjing.
The assessment will be published in the weekly Platts Petrochemical Alert page 643 (Platts Middle Eastern Aromatics Freight Rates) and the Asian Petrochemicalscan.
The weekly assessment has the symbol code ABMCC04, while the monthly average has the code ABMCC03.
