Platts proposes to rename its existing FOB ARA fuel oil 3.5% barge swaps, FOB ARA fuel oil 1% barge swaps and related derivatives assessments to reflect "FOB Rotterdam" as their basis location with effect from January 2, 2014. The proposed renaming would better align the assessment from the underlying physical markets used to settle the derivatives. Rotterdam has always been the basis location for Platts physical high sulfur fuel oil barge assessments. The assessments are published on Platts Forward Curve Europe, an add-on information service to Platts Global Alert. A list of pages carrying FOB ARA fuel oil swaps assessments is provided below.
