Platts proposes to increase the frequency of Ammonia Energy Substitution Indices assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to increase the frequency of its Ammonia Energy Substitution Indices (AESI) calculated assessments, effective Jan. 22, 2024.

Platts is proposing to increase the frequency of the NW Europe and Japan AESI assessments from weekly to daily in response to increasing interest in ammonia as a fuel from a number of sectors, including power generation.

The assessments currently only appear in the AESI Update PDF. However, from Jan. 15, 2024, the assessments (AESIA00 and AESIB00) would be published Monday-Friday on Platts Connect, and from Jan. 29, 2024 they would also feature in Platts Fertecon Daily.
