Platts proposes expansion of synthetic rubber coverage in Asia and Europe

Platts, part of S&P Global Community Insights, proposes to launch weekly spot price assessments for polybutadiene rubber (PBR) for Asia and the Northwest Europe regions, effective Feb.

The new assessments would complement Platts existing coverage on styrene butadiene rubber.

The proposed assessments would be published based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT) and 4:30 pm London time, respectively, following the regional publishing schedules.

The Mooney viscosity (ML1-4 at 100° C) is based on test method ASTM-D 1646.

The Volatile Matter is based on test method ASTM-D 5668, while the Ash content is based on test method ASTM-D 5667.

Northwest Europe includes the Benelux region, France, Germany and Switzerland.
