Platts to launch daily Northwest European Recycled HDPE Natural Pellet assessment

Following market feedback, S&P Global Platts will launch a daily spot price assessment for recycled high density polyethylene natural pellets in Northwest Europe, effective Dec. 9, 2020.

The daily assessment will take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm London time.

The new assessment will have the following specification:

Grade: Extrusion/blow molding, non-food-grade and odorless, with a melt flow index (MFI) of 1-2g/10minutes tested at 190 degrees Celsius/5 kg, suitable for consumer packaging applications

Color: Natural pellet, including clear and transparent pellets

Basis: Free delivered Northwest Europe three to 30 days forward from the date of publication

Standard spot cargo size: Minimum 20 mt lots

Symbol: ARHNP00 (daily), ARHNP04 (Weekly average), ARHNP03 (Monthly average)

The new assessment will be found on Platts Petrochemical Alert on pages PC0571, PC0574, PC0441, in Platts price database, on Platts Market Center, on Platts Platform and in Polymerscan under the symbols listed above.
