Platts proposes to discontinue Biodiesel FOB SE Asia assessment from Feb 23, 2026

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to discontinue the Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia assessment and the associated PME vs Crude Palm Oil assessment, effective Feb. 23, 2026.

The proposed discontinuation follows reduced international trading activity for palm oil methyl ester (PME), amid a decline in demand from destination countries, such as those in Europe, and strong domestic demand in producing countries. Domestic biodiesel blending mandates are being progressively raised in Southeast Asia, such as Indonesia's mandate to blend 50% biodiesel with conventional fuel by 2026.

Platts launched the Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia assessment on Jan. 14, 2008.

The following assessments are proposed to be discontinued from Feb. 23 :
