Platts to amend the rounding used in FOB Rotterdam hydrocarbon solvents assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will enhance the precision of FOB Rotterdam assessments for European white spirit, hexane and solvent naphtha effective Dec. 17.

Platts will round the final value to the nearest $0.25/mt. At the moment the prices are assessed to the nearest $5/mt.

The affected assessments are as below:

Prices for FOB Rotterdam white spirit are calculated by adding an assessed premium to the Platts jet fuel CIF NWE (PJAAU00) price to form an outright value.

Prices for FOB Rotterdam hexane are calculated by adding an assessed premium to the Platts naphtha CIF NWE (PAAAL00) price to form an outright value.

Prices for FOB Rotterdam solvent naphtha are calculated by adding an assessed premium to an average of the Platts premium unleaded gasoline 10 PPMFOB AR (PGABM00) and Eurobob gasoline FOB AR (AAQZV00) assessments to form an outright value.

The calculations will remain the same, with the rounding amended to the nearest $0.25/mt.
