Platts launches 4 daily NVOCC West Coast India to Middle East front haul, back haul container freight assessments Dec 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched four daily spot container freight assessments effective Dec.1, for freight rates for containers transported by NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers) between West Coast India and the Middle East.

These assessments complement the existing West Coast India to Middle East assessments, hence transparently reflecting the two-tier market led by both carriers and NVOCCs.

The new assessments cover the following routes, and are published under these codes:

The proposed assessments reflect the transactable value at 16:30 Indian Standard Time (IST) for loading five to 25 days forward from the date of publication.

The assessments are published in $/TEU and $/FEU and follow the India publishing schedule.

The relevant descriptions for the routes are:

West Coast India: Mumbai, Jawaharlal Nehru Port, Mundra

Middle East: Jebel Ali to Salalah
