Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched daily spot ethylene oxide delivered duty paid Northwest European assessments on Dec. 1.
The assessments were first proposed in the subscriber note below:
https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/101623-platts-proposes-to-launch-daily-ethylene-oxide-spot-price-assessments
The new assessments complement Platts existing ethylene chain coverage.
The daily assessments are based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm London time.
In the absence of spot pricing information, the daily ethylene oxide spot assessment will take direction from upstream daily ethylene spot assessment.
Details of the assessment are as follows:
Product specifications:
Quality: minimum purity is 99.9% by weight, maximum water content of 70ppm and maximum aldehydes of 40ppm
Laycans:
3-30 days forward from date of assessment
Current month (M1)
Month two (M2)
Currency: Eur/mt
Cargo Size: Minimum 50 mt
Basis and Location: DDP NWE
Mode of transport: Rail
The new assessments are published in Platts Olefinscan and on Platts Connect.
