SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to discontinue South Europe import rebar assessment February 3

S&P Global Platts will discontinue its monthly import rebar assessment published on a CIF South European port basis, effective February 3, 2020, on the back of dwindling liquidity in the market.

The decision followed a period of market consultation that started November 11, 2019, when Platts invited market participants to submit feedback by Monday, November 25.

Platts received no negative market feedback to the proposal.

The assessment is published on a monthly basis in the Steel Business Briefing, on the fixed page PMA 1315 of the Platts real-time Alert, in the Platts Market Center and in the Platts price database under the following code and name: SB01197, Rebar Europe Imp CIF S Euro Port Mthly assessment
