Platts proposes to change its publication schedule for Friday December 26, 2014 and not publish any petrochemical assessments from its offices in Asia on this day in observance of the Christmas holiday.
This proposal supersedes the global petchems year-end publishing schedule published on October 24 2014.
Platts proposes to not publish assessments from Singapore, Tokyo, or China on December 26.
Platts will maintain its current publication schedule for Wednesday, December 24, 2014; Wednesday, December 31, 2014 and Friday, January 2, 2015 on which days its assessment processes will close early.
All assessments and market-on-close processes will be basis 12:30 pm Singapore time (0430 GMT) on those days. The proposal would amend the publication schedule as published on Platts web site and in the subscriber note of October 24, 2014 in that the weekly averages of Asia, Europe and US olefins assessments for the week ending December 26 will NOT reflect December 26 but will continue to be published in the first Olefinscan report of 2015 on January 9. The Asia Petrochemicalscan (APS) will not be published.
The polymers weekly averages (CFR FE Asia) for HDPE film, LDPE, LLDPE, PP raffia, PP injection and the polymers weekly averages (FOB Middle East) will NOT reflect the close on December 26.
The weekly averages of Asian ethylene CFR SE Asia & CFR NE Asia, Asian propylene FOB Korea & propylene CFR China, Asian butadiene FOB Korea, & CFR China & China domestic, Asian MEG CFR China & China Domestic, Asian PTA CFR China & China Domestic will NOT reflect the close on December 26. Please submit any comments in favor of or against a change in the oil publication schedule for December 26 to petchems@platts.com and PriceGroup@platts.com by December 3. Platts will publish its decision later the same day. For full details of Platts publishing schedule and services affected, refer to http://www.platts.com/holiday
