In line with changing market conditions in the Mediterranean and West African crude markets, S&P Global Platts is proposing to amend the standard cargo sizes reflected in a number of different assessments to reflect trading norms from January 2, 2018.
Platts remains committed to reflecting standard cargo sizes in its assessments and is constantly reviewing the existing methodology to ensure its assessments reflect standard traded volumes in a given market.
These changes would be reflected in an updated version of the Crude Oil Methodology guide available here: https://www.platts.com/methodology-specifications/oil
