S&P Global Platts will add a new weekly freight assessment for liquid petrochemical products on the route from the Middle East to East China for 5,000 mt to 7,000 mt size cargoes, effective December 13, 2019.
The assessment, which will be in US dollars/mt, would be for liquid petrochemicals such as benzene, toluene, xylenes, methanol, MTBE, styrene monomer and MEG from the Middle East ports of Yanbu, Rabigh, Kuwait, Al-Jubail, Sohar, Bandar Imam Khomeini and Assaluyeh, going to East China ports Zhangjiagang, Shanghai, Jiangyin, Nantong, Ningbo, Nanjing.
The assessment would be published in the weekly Platts Petrochemical Alert page 643 (Platts Middle Eastern Aromatics Freight Rates) and the Asian Petrochemicalscan.
