Suspension of Europe, US PFC monthly averages

Following feedback, Platts intends to move forward with its proposal to suspend the publication of monthly average data for the daily assessments of oil market forward curves in the US and Europe.

Such data will cease to be published with effect from June 1, 2012.

As announced on September 25, this suspension will affect only monthly averages that are calculated for assessments of oil market derivatives.

Platts will continue to publish all other monthly averages, including monthly averages of assessments for the physical oil markets.

Platts PFC monthly averages are only published in Platts' price database. Platts requests any further comments and feedback by January 31, 2012.
