Platts discontinues FuelEU CO2 abatement B30 Rotterdam (MGO) assessment Nov. 3

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has discontinued the FuelEU CO2 abatement B30 Rotterdam MGO (MGVLE00), the related mirror symbol (MGVME00), and the related monthly average assessment (MGVLE03), effective Nov. 3, 2025.

Platts has discontinued the assessment, which calculates the cost of abating 1 ton of CO2 by combusting Biobunker B30 Rotterdam UCOME (ABKRA00) instead of Marine Gasoil 0.1% Delivered Rotterdam (AARTG00), based on market feedback.

Platts FuelEU CO2 Abatement assessments are published on the following fixed pages for daily assessments (PGB2050, PGA2051, PRF2050, CMA2500, ETA2500) and the following for monthly averages (PGB2052, PGA2053, PRF2052, CMA2501, ETA2501).

They are also published in the Bunkerwire and Bunkerwire Monthly reports, along with the Biofuelscan and Carbon Markets Daily reports.
