Subscriber note: Platts to reduce eWindow freeze period to 1 min for US

Following industry feedback, beginning December 3, Platts will reduce the freeze period for the Market on Close assessment process to one minute for all US refined products markets that are facilitated by eWindow technology, with the exception of US Atlantic Coast residual fuel oil. This includes: US Gulf Coast gasoline and distillates; US Atlantic Coast gasoline and distillates; US Gulf Coast residual fuel oil; US LPG markets; and US ethanol markets. This means that market participants will be able to raise or lower bids and offers until 3:14 pm Eastern Standard Time/2:14 pm Central Standard Time. Previously, price positions could be changed until 3:13 pm EST/2:13 pm CST. The Platts Market on Close assessment process reflects market activity up to 3:15 pm EST/2:15 pm CST.
