Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched weekly natural rubber Southeast Asia and Northwest Europe spot assessments, effective Nov 1.
Platts will assess technically specified rubber 20 (TSR 20) on a free-on-board basis in Southeast Asia and a delivered, duty-paid basis in Northwest Europe.
The new assessments were originally proposed in a note published Sept. 17, and the decision was made in a note published Oct. 4.
The assessments will have the following parameters:

TSR 20 includes Standard Malaysia Rubber (SMR 20), Standard Indonesian Rubber (SIR 20), Standard Thai Rubber (STR 20) and Standard Vietnam Rubber (SVR 20).
Market information for products with other specifications and non-standard terms may be considered for the assessment and may be subject to normalization to the standard specifications and terms.
The assessments will be published every Friday, following Singapore and UK publishing schedules, respectively.
