Platts amends dirty tanker basket flat rates for West Africa-Far East VLCC, Suezmax assessments Nov. 1

Following a Worldscale Association update for the port of Djeno, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has amended the Worldscale flat rate baskets used in the $/mt calculations for its West Africa-Far East 260,000 mt and 130,000 mt dirty tanker assessments, effective Nov. 1.

Following this amendment, the new average flat rates for the following assessments are:

  • Dirty West Africa-Far East 260,000 mt: $35.72/mt
  • Dirty West Africa-Far East 130,000 mt: $35.72/mt

The affected assessments are:

  • Assessment: Daily Code, Mavg Code.
  • Dirty West Africa-Far East 260,000 mt: TDACN00, TDACN03.
  • Dirty West Africa-Far East 130,000 mt: TDACM00, TDACM03.

The affected assessments appear in Platts Dirty Tankerwire; on Platts Shipping Alert pages, 1440, 1441 and Platts Tanker Alert pages 1970, 1971; as well as in the Platts price database under the codes above.

Flat rates for the VLCC Djeno-Ningbo time-charter rates have also been updated to reflect the latest circular.
