Platts amends clean tanker basket flat rates for Persian Gulf-Africa assessments from Nov 1

Following a Worldscale Association update for the Port of Fujairah, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has amended the Worldscale flat rate basket used in $/mt calculations for the Persian Gulf to East Africa 35kt and Persian Gulf to South Africa 35kt clean tanker assessments, effective Nov. 1, 2022.

With this most recent Worldscale amendment, the new average flat rate for the Persian Gulf to East Africa route is $10.08/mt, while the rate for the Persian Gulf to South Africa route is $16.70/mt.
