Platts, a part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has begun publishing US natural gas daily and monthly supply and demand indices, effective Oct. 31, 2025.
The daily indices are an average of the Gas Daily flow date prices, and the monthly indices are an average of the Inside FERC First of the Month prices.
The US Supply Index represents an average of the prices for Columbia Gas Appalachia, Eastern Gas South, NGPL Texok, Waha, and CIG Rockies locations.
The US Demand Index represents an average of the Transco zone 6 non-NY, Transco zone 5 delivered, Chicago citygates, Houston Ship Channel, and SoCal Gas citygate locations.
Platts will publish the following symbols:
Platts ICE US Supply Index Daily Trade Date ATAGX00
Platts ICE US Supply Index Daily Flow Date ATAGY00
Platts ICE US Demand Index Daily Trade Date ATAGZ00
Platts ICE US Demand Index Daily Flow Date ATAHA00
Platts ICE US Supply Index Monthly ATAHB00
Platts ICE US Demand Index Monthly ATAHC00
The prices will be available to Americas Gas and Power subscribers and will be published in market data categories GD (daily indices) and GM (monthly indices), a price table Gas Daily (daily indices) and Inside FERC First of the Month (monthly indices), and fixed page numbers AGP0752 and PGN0752 (daily indices) and AGP0753 and PGN0753 (monthly indices).
