Platts launches Platts-ICE Gas Indices Americas (GIA) natural gas indices locations and weightings for November 2022-March 2023

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched the GIA natural gas indices locations and weightings for November 2022-March 2023.

The locations, location weightings, and region weightings are as follows:

GIA Northeast Region Locations and Location Weightings:

Columbia Gas, Appalachia 26.46%

Texas Eastern, M-2, receipts 24.88%

Transco, Leidy Line Receipts 16.81%

Texas Eastern, M-3 16.77%

Transco, Zone 5 15.08%

GIA Midwest Region Locations and Location Weightings:

Dawn, Ontario 29.42%

REX, zone 3 delivered 20.79%

Northern Border, Ventura 19.26%

Chicago Citygates 17.60%

Alliance, into interstates 12.93%

GIA South Region Locations and Location Weightings:

El Paso, Permian Basin 25.12%

Waha 24.14%

Transco, zone 4 22.31%

Transco, zone 3 14.68%

Texas Gas, zone 1 13.75%

GIA West Region Locations and Location Weightings:

TCPL Alberta, AECO-C 40.00%

SoCal Gas, city-gate 16.73%

SoCal Gas 16.73%

PG&E city-gate 14.56%

Westcoast, station 2 11.98%

GIA Region Weightings:

GIA Northeast 38.59%

GIA South 25.99%

GIA Midwest 12.22%

GIA West 23.20%

These weightings took effect on trade date Oct. 31, 2022, for flow Nov. 1, 2022.
