SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes new 0.1% sulfur bunker fuel assessment at St. Petersburg

S&P Global Platts proposes to begin publishing a daily delivered bunkers assessment for 0.1% sulfur fuel oil at St. Petersburg, Russia, starting February 1, 2019.

It is proposed that the new assessment for St. Petersburg will reflect an RMD 80 specification, including a maximum sulfur content of 0.1%.

The use of 0.1% sulfur ULSFO at St. Petersburg has steadily grown since the maximum sulfur content allowed to be burnt on ships was reduced to 0.1% in the Baltic and NWE ECA zone in January 2015.
