Platts launches European, Brazilian, US POM copolymer weekly spot assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched weekly FOB USGC, CFR Brazil and DDP Northwest Europe polyoxymethylene (POM) copolymer spot assessments, effective Oct. 30.

POM is also known as acetal copolymer.

The new assessments were first proposed in a subscriber note published on Sept. 19 , and confirmed in a subscriber note published on Oct. 3 .

The assessments reflect the following specifications:

Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized accordingly.

The weekly assessments take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment processes at 1:30pm Central Time and 4:30 pm UK time, following the US, Brazil and London publishing calendars, respectively.

Platts has also launched an assessment for CIF China POM spot prices, effective Oct. 30.
