Following an extensive period of industry review, Platts proposes to update, amend and -- in some cases -- remove a series of the quality specifications for its FOB Singapore gasoil and diesel assessments.
Platts proposes to update specifications for Total Acid Number; appearance; Conradson Carbon Residue; Cetane Number and Index; Cloud Point; Copper Corrosion; Distillation; Filter Blocking Tendency; and Lubricity.
The proposed amendments affect all grades of gasoil assessed.
Platts invites comments on these proposed changes by November 20, 2009, to asia_oilproducts@platts and pricegroup@platts.com.
The full list of amendments have been published online at: http://www.platts.com/IM.Platts.Content/MethodologyReferences/MethodologySpec s/singgasoil.pdf
