Update: Platts amends decision to discontinue one rice assessment from Jan. 2, confirms other scheduled discontinuations

Following the publication of a decision note on Sept. 30, 2024, (Platts to discontinue several rice assessments from Jan 2), Platts has identified one assessment that had been incorrectly selected for discontinuation i.e. Brazil Long Grain Parboiled Milled Rice 5% Broken STX FOB FCL (LRGCB00).

This assessment will continue to be published.

At the same time, the rest of the five rice assessments will be discontinued as planned. Hence, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will discontinue five Asia and Americas rice assessments, effective Jan. 2, 2025.

This discontinuation follows a period of sustained trading inactivity.
