Platts includes SA Oceania FSU in Singapore fuel oil cargo, ex-wharf bunker MOC from Oct 18

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has included the ship SA Oceania as an additional loading point in its Platts Singapore Market on Close assessment process for cargo and ex-wharf bunkers for Marine Fuel 0.5% and 380 CST HSFO from Oct. 18.

SA Oceania (IMO 9246633) is operated by Southern Ace Marine as a floating storage unit at Kukup Port Limit.

Platts first proposed including the FSU as an additional loading point in a subscriber note published Sept. 6.

There are now 11 FSUs approved as additional loading points in the FOB Singapore cargo and ex-wharf bunker MOC for Marine Fuel 0.5% and 380 CST HSFO.

The standards applicable to approved FSUs require that sellers specifically name the ship used as a loading point at the time of submitting offers to Platts for publishing.

Any offer of oil from ships accredited for the FOB Singapore cargo and ex-wharf bunker MOC for Marine Fuel 0.5% and 380 CST HSFO will be on a FOB FSU basis.

Sellers cannot unilaterally nominate an approved ship as a loading point in FOB Straits trades.
