Platts proposes changes to CFR South Asia weekly acetic acid assessment payment terms and delivery laycan, effective Nov 20

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to change the weekly CFR South Asia acetic acid assessment to reflect cargoes delivered 30-45 days forward from the day of the assessment and with the credit terms of up to L/C 90 days, effective Nov. 20, in line with market feedback received.

Platts is presently assessing acetic acid cargoes delivered 15-30 days forward from the day of the assessment in South Asia and on credit terms of up to L/C 30 days.

Platts would normalize any market data deviating from the Platts standard terms based on market feedback.

The proposed changes would affect the price assessments under the following code:

Description Code MAvg
Acetic Acid CFR South Asia Weekly AAWVZ00 AAWVZ03

The affected assessments are published in the Asian Petrochemicalscan and on Platts Petrochemical Alert Pages: PC0174, PC0458 and PC0460.
