Subscriber note: Platts to change cargo size of Asian fuel-grade ethanol from Nov 5

Platts will change the cargo size of its fuel-grade ethanol assessment basis CIF Philippines and FOB Singapore to 3,000-5,000 cu m, normalized to 3,000 cu m from November 5, 2012. Other volumes will no longer be fully reflected but may be normalized to standard volumes. Currently, Platts assesses parcel sizes of 1,000-3,000 cu m. The proposed refinement follows further market feedback that the usual cargo size that arrives CIF Philippines, which include the ports of Subic, Manila and Batangas, is usually 3,000-5,000 cu m.
