Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch daily assessments for year-ahead Netherlands renewable energy units (HBE) on Nov. 27, 2024.
This is in addition to Platts' existing HBE assessments, detailed in a launch note published Jan. 2: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/010224-platts-launches-netherlands-renewable-energy-units-hbes-assessments
Platts will assess year-ahead HBEs from Nov. 27, 2024 to the last working day of 2024.
The year-ahead assessments will then roll over to current year on the first working day of January 2025, and the current year assessments would roll over to reflect previous year HBEs on the same day. The previous year HBE assessments will then stop on the last working day of April and the current year HBE assessments will continue until the last working day of December.
From 2025, Platts will begin assessing year-ahead HBE prices on the first working day of November.
Platts will therefore publish year-ahead and current year HBEs over November to the last working day of December, current year HBEs from the start of January to the end of December, and previous year HBEs from January through to the end of April.
