SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts considers discontinuation of Dutch, Belgian power price assessments

Platts is seeking feedback on a proposal to discontinue its daily power assessment series for the Netherlands and Belgium at the start of 2017. Platts remains committed to providing quality market information and commentary in all European power markets and will continue reporting on the above markets' activity, news, events and policy. The assessments being considered for discontinuation are listed below and are published in Platts European Power Daily, on European Power Alert pages 52 (Netherlands) and 70 (Belgium) and in Market Data category EE. Associated monthly average symbols in Market Data category EE and dynamic symbols in Market Data category PE would also be discontinued under this proposal. In light of this proposal, Platts is also reviewing the discontinuation of its Continental European Indices which are published in European Power Daily, on European Power Alert pages 786 and 788 and in Market Data category EE. Any discontinuation of the Dutch and Belgian power assessments would result in a review of the Dutch and Belgian spark and clean spark spreads which are published in European Power Daily, on European Power Alert pages 640, 642, 662 and 664 and in Market Data category EM.
