Platts to launch European, Brazilian, US POM copolymer spot assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch weekly FOB USGC, CFR Brazil and DDP Northwest Europe polyoxymethylene (POM) copolymer spot assessments, effective Oct. 30.

POM is also known as acetal copolymer.

The new assessments were first proposed in a subscriber note published on Sept. 10 and available here.

The assessments will reflect the following specifications:

The weekly assessments will be published on Wednesday and follow the US, Brazil and London publishing calendars, respectively.

Platts will also launch a CIF China POM spot assessment, effective Oct. 30. Details of the new assessment can be found here.
