SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts discontinues some French, Spanish power price assessments

Effective October 2, 2017, S&P Global Platts has discontinued some daily power assessments for France and Spain due to low liquidity and changing trading patterns.

The assessments that were discontinued are listed below. They were published in Platts European Power Daily, on European Power Alert pages 85 (France) and 81 (Spain) and in Market Data category EE. Associated monthly average symbols in Market Data category EE and dynamic symbols in Market Data category PE have also been discontinued from October 2, 2017.

Platts will continue to publish exchange data for the discontinued Spanish and French power price assessments in Platts European Power Daily and in Platts Market Data category ET.

Platts has discontinued assessing French Saturday and Sunday power prices. Effective October 2, Platts will use the last working day of the week's assessment of the weekend code PFWE042 to replace Saturday and Sunday for the flow date price data set.

In addition, Platts will assess and publish on a weekly basis the Spanish baseload week-ahead contract (AADIR00) and French baseload week-ahead contract (AAHNP00). The week-ahead contracts will be assessed on the last UK working day of the week.
