Platts to discontinue FuelEU CO2 Abatement B30 Rotterdam (MGO) assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will discontinue its FuelEU CO2 abatement assessment B30 Rotterdam MGO ( MGVLE00), along with the related monthly average assessment (MGLVE03), effective Nov. 3, 2025.

Platts will discontinue the assessment, which calculates the cost of abating one ton of CO2 by combusting Biobunker B30 Rotterdam UCOME (ABKRA00) instead of Marine Gasoil 0.1% Delivered Rotterdam (AARTG00), based on market feedback.

The assessments are published on the following fixed pages for daily assessments (PGB2050, PGA2051, PRF2050 , CMA2500, ETA2500) and the following for monthly averages (PGB2052, PGA2053, PRF2052 , CMA2501, ETA2501).

They are also published in the Bunkerwire and Bunkerwire Monthly reports, along with the Biofuelscan and Carbon Markets Daily reports.
