October 01, 2024
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched monthly industry-settled deltas for the domestic contract polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride markets, effective Oct. 1.
These industry settlements, in cents/lb, complement the FAS Houston PE and PVC spot assessments and continue Platts coverage of the domestic US markets.
The settlements are published and databased to the first day of the month, when Platts has information that a contract settlement for the respective month has been reached.
For example, the discussions about the contract price changes from August to September would normally conclude by Oct. 10. Once the confirmation of these settlements is received, Platts would database them against Sept. 1.
The terms and specifications of the new industry-settled deltas are as follows:
Assessment | US PE Domestic Monthly Contract Delta Settlement | US PVC Domestic Monthly Contract Delta Settlement |
UOM | cents/lb | cents/lb |
Symbol | ADELA00 | ADELB00 |
The settlements will be published in Polymerscan, on Platts Connect and Platts Petrochemical Alert.
