SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to change some Americas clean tanker Worldscale monthly averages to 2 decimal places

S&P Global Platts will change the decimal places for the monthly average of its Worldscale percentage assessments on the Medium Range US Gulf Coast-Argentina/Brazil/North Brazil and Long Range 1 USGC-UK Continent/Mediterranean routes, with effect from November 1, 2019.

This change will bring consistency between the Worldscale percentage average and the flat freight rate average. The Worldscale monthly average for these freight assessments is currently rounded to zero decimal places, while the equivalent $/mt monthly average is published to two decimal places.

With effect from November 1, the Worldscale monthly averages on these routes will be published to two decimal places. The change will also align these monthly averages to other existing Americas clean tanker monthly averages.
